At 9:30 am tomorrow ( Saturday morning) a very special cook off will begin as the two Bluegrass Farmer's Markets will be presenting two produce boxes containing 7 produce items, one meat and one condiment to two Youth teams. The two teams are made up of 4-6 youth members per team , one being a 4-H team from Garrard County and the other team being the members of our summer intern program and our youth Farmers' Market member, Calloway Stivers.
Of the 10 items in the box, 7 of the items must be used in the dish that they will be presenting to a panel of celebrity judges at 11:30 am for tasting.
The special event is being held at our Beaumont Centre site and the chefs of Azur Restaurant will be assisting the two teams with guidance and chef knowledge. Both teams come to the cook off table with their recipies, culinary techniques and just fun will be had by all.
