As the summer growing season fades away more value added products are brought to the market. During the summer months vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, and beans are plentiful, but when the summer end those items are turned into valuable products for farmers to sell in the off season. Tomatoes are transformed into delicious salsas, and peppers are ground into seasoning, and zucchini is made into bread.

The cool fall weather also allows farmers that have been feeding their animals all summer to be processed. You kind find some of the best cuts of beef and pork during the late fall months.

The Bluegrass Farmers' market will have all of these items and some cool weathered crops this Saturday for your enjoyment.
